Early NBA All-star voting brings the Golden State Warrior’s star player to the top of the backcourt list. The Warriors are quite an average and inconsistent team this year. But their short home runs display enormous potential to go all the way to the finals. However, the Warriors still miss their superstar as Stephen Curry recovers his way back from the shoulder injury. According to recent reports, he is expected to return soon. Although the Warriors miss him, they are still winning their games without their regulars.

The team has played for two weeks without their most prominent point guard. However, the Golden States’ general manager Bob brings good news for the Warriors fan. He is getting evaluated and working on the court. Steph’s report does not suggest any setbacks, and he will be fit to return. Since the Warriors are the worst team on the road, the two-time MVP’s return will be a relief. The eight-time All-star is expected to return on January 13, the first game of the five-game away trip.

The Golden State Warriors Players In The All-Star List

Five Warriors players are placed on the top picks for the All-star candidates. Meanwhile, Stephen Curry is taking the top spot under the Guards of the Western Conference. In the frontcourt, there are three players that are the Warriors’ pedigree. Forward Andrew Wiggins sits in the fifth position with a huge 1,123,898 votes to fancy his first All-star game. The list also includes Draymond Green, who will look for his fifth All-star game and is ranked eighth with 405,245 votes. And last but not least, Kevon Looney, who will also appear in his first ever All-star game, is placed in 10th position.

When it comes to the backcourt players, the Warriors’ Curry, as usual, holds the number one spot with 2,715,520 votes. And with such massive support, he also ranks fourth among all the All-star players. The 34-year-old point guard is behind LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Giannis Antetokounpo.

When the voting ends, the top vote-getters will be eligible to choose two guards and three frontcourt players to make the team. And the last player in the All stars list is Klay Thompson at 5th position in the guard position. Klay even stated his personal goal to feature in the All-star this season. He has 514,104 votes on his side to feature on February 19. It looks like most Warriors players will make it to the All-star team this year.

Although Steph suffers from an injury, he is still at the top of the table because of his remarkable past in the NBA. In his 14-year NBA career, Curry has made nine appearances in the All-star games. Even Andrew Wiggins could stride ahead of Davis as he is also out with a long-term injury. The Warriors have a clear path to making their own All-star team this year.
