Sergio Perez

Sergio Perez, one of the guys behind everything that Red Bull achieved within the past two years, has always been in talks for his sacrifices. Whatever happened in Interlagos this year between the Red Bull drivers made one thing very much clear; Red Bull prioritizes max Verstappen over Sergio Perez.

No punishments for Max, who disobeyed the team’s order on track, plus a justification for his action coming from the boss of the team is enough for anyone to sense a pack of partiality in Red Bull. However, these are just the points that fans put in favor of Checo. Let’s look at what Sergio Perez himself says about things going on between Max Verstappen and him under the ceiling of the Milton-Keynes-based team.

With RB18, the Austrian racing team got back their dignity. They marked the end of Mercedes’s dominance and won the constructor’s championship after eight years. But still, they failed to win a one-two finish in the driver’s standings. Why so? Out of 17 Red Bull wins, 15 were made alone by Max Verstappen, and two went into Checo’s pocket, but ultimately, he got defeated by his Ferrari rival Charles Leclerc.

However, this could not happen; only if the two-time world champion could have given a position back to Sergio Perez in the Brazilian Grand Prix during the closing laps. After Silverstone, Red Bull won all the remaining races except in Interlagos because it was meant for the Silver Arrows. But a 6th position in Brazil would have given Checo points in order to secure the runner-up position in the driver’s standings. But just as Max denied following the team’s order, Checo was deprived of the opportunity.

Because “It Is About The Team,” Sergio Perez Never Prioritizes Himself

Quite a little dispute occurred between the Red Bull drivers during the second-last race of the 2022 season. At the moment, Sergio Perez claimed, the “real Max is out”. Meanwhile, Max suggesting it to be that revenge for Monaco’s crash was enough to break their relationship. But soon, a wave of peace was signed out. The drivers have no hard feelings for each other. Recently, speaking with GPblog, Checo said, “It is important that the team works together at present. As a team, Red Bull has to maximize. It is not just about MAX AND ME. IT IS ABOUT THE TEAM.”

Instead of going for his own scores, Checo would like to raise as together a team in Red Bull. Sergio Perez believes that there are so many people working in the Milton Keynes factory, which gives everything to the team. Just as he works very hard on his side, the engineers do on their side to make sure that we are able to go on to the next step.

The Mexican opened up about what he feels for Mercedes and Ferrari. He said, “The Silver Arrows were very competitive at the end of the 2022 season. And so was Ferrari. I expect them to be there again in 2023. However, there are some midfield teams too, that are really making big steps over the winter break.
