Now that Red Bull has already launched the 2023 car, all eyes are waiting to see the brand-new Mercedes single-seater. With hopes to finally celebrate the championship win, Mercedes fans are demanding the best Mercedes car again back on the track, which is the W11 and 12, where W is for ‘Way better than all the cars Silver Arrows produced.’
The W11 was a black livery. And since the Silver Livery with W13 has been bad luck for the team, a black color is being demanded with the W14. In every social media post that team Mercedes AMG F1 uploads, fans comments asking for a black livery! The stern demand hounds over Mercedes’s Social Media accounts. This is going up to the extent that fans may riot if they get to see a similar to the W13 car on 15th February.

Last year when Toto Wolff returned from the Mercedes Brackley factory, he revealed the basic details of the 2023 car. The most important detail was the car’s livery, for which Wolff said it is exactly the same as W13. So, no change in livery was confirmed. However, recently, the social media team of AMG uploaded a picture claiming it to be a “Black Car appreciation post.” And this may suggest that a changed livery for W14 is possible. Teasing fans, can Mercedes, in fact, bring a black livery this year?

Making the W14 black will satisfy thousands of fans who commented, “Black Livery or We RIOT,” “If You this and still give us a silver car, it is on sight.” One of the fans said, “Isn’t it the biggest hint that Mercedes is back to black with the W14?”. Another said, “Please bring a black one this time.”
Chances Of Mercedes W14 To Be A Black Livery
In 2020, The Brackley-based Mercedes factory built a black car for the first time. The W11 made Mercedes recognized as one of the most exclusive and diverse teams. Fans say that the W11 and the W12, which was the second black Mercedes car, are arguably the best ones and probably the only ones that Mercedes needs right now. As a matter of luck, in both 2020 and 2021, Lewis Hamilton became the sixth and the seventh-time world champion, respectively.
And just when the Silver Arrows brought the Silver case, it ruined everything down. Now in 2023, despite those claims of Toto Wolff, it seems possible for the team to bring a change in the final car seeing the intensity of fans’ demand. In one of the publications by The Express, “The black livery was a clear intent and a clear demonstration of Mercedes mission. It was aimed to bring a more diverse and inclusive team in Formula One.” Wolff claimed that it had become a part of Mercedes’s DNA. But the Silver color of the Silver Arrows is also the same DNA that Mercedes holds in history.
