The New York Yankees have faced their fair share of struggles and inconsistencies throughout the 2023 MLB season. The current season got off to a rocky start as they grappled with injuries, underperforming players, and a lack of consistency on both offense and defense. However, a series win against a formidable opponent has provided the team with a much-needed boost and instilled confidence in their ability to compete at a high level.

The Yankees have won two back-to-back series against the San Diego Padres and Baltimore Orioles and have jumped all the way to the third spot in the East division. The team finally looks like they have regained their lost form. However, despite the win, a renowned MLB insider feels the roster still looks incomplete, and the Yankees must get their act together quickly before time runs out.

The New York Yankees are back to winning way after sealing two consecutive series wins. They managed to ditch the last spot on the table and moved up all the way to the third. They remain one game behind the Baltimore Orioles and six behind the mighty Tampa Bay Rays. However, despite the recent achievements, renowned MLB insider Jon Heyman feels the Yankees are still not there where they need to be. Heyman wrote via New York Post that the Bronx Bombers still do not have their act together. Their roster remains incomplete in the absence of key starters.

However, Jon Heyman also believes that the return of Giancarlo Stanton, Jose Trevino, and Josh Donaldson will turn the Yankee’s tides in no time. Hence, their imminent return is vital for the team. It’s worth noting that Stanton and Donaldson, who suffered from a hamstring strain, have already begun rehab assignments. Moreover, Trevino also has been making excellent progress and is inching close to a comeback. Once the Yankees formulate their entire roster, they will regain the status of a formidable lineup, the lineup which will send chills to the pitchers. The upcoming weeks and months will prove to be crucial for the Yankees as they aim to build upon their winning momentum and establish a strong foundation for success. The team must maintain its focus, continue to improve, and find ways to perform at a high level consistently.

The New York Yankees began their west coast campaign against the Seattle Mariner on Monday. Domingo German made his return after serving a 10-day suspension and had an average outing as he gave away four runs. Luckily, the captain, Aaron Judge, jumped to the rescue as he slammed two towering home runs to contribute majorly to the Yankee’s 10-4 win.

With those two home runs, Aaron Judge‘s overall 2023 season tally soared to 17, the highest in the American League. Despite missing 10 days due to a hip injury, the Yankees captain has covered up for the lost time and remains on the same trajectory as the 2022 season. At this rate, Judge can once again recreate his majestic 62-home run record, which earned him numerous accolades.
