A popular music band, Jonas Brothers, made a quick stop at the Bronx to witness the New York Yankees practice session on Tuesday.
The New York Yankees remain one of the most loved sports franchises in the United States of America. The $7 billion club has a massive fan base in the city of New York and beyond. Despite the team’s failure to win a world series title in 13 years, the fans have always had their backs. Hence, the club ensures the fans get at least something in return to cheer for.
Over the years, the Yankees have hosted many high-end celebrities to grace the pre-game events. Just recently, they invited a kid with autism to perform the national anthem and spread awareness on World Autism Day. Moreover, this mid-season, the Yanks have planned a big gig at their home stadium. The home fans and popular boy band Jonas Brothers will host a full-fledged concert in August, and they came in to promote it at the Yankees’ practice session on Tuesday.
Jonas Brothers Welcomed By Captain Aaron Judge At The Yankees Stadium
Popular musical trio, the Jonas Brothers are all set to host a concert in the Yankees stadium in the Bronx in the month of August. Moreover, the singers will also launch a few songs from their unreleased sixth studio album. Meanwhile, ahead of the main gig, the brothers paid a surprise visit at the Yankees’ practice session on Tuesday and promoted their upcoming concert. Born and brought up in New Jersey, the singers are die-hard Yankee fans and were visibly excited to witness some live action from up close.
Furthermore, the New York Yankees captain, Aaron Judge, welcomed them and shared a wholesome hug with each one of the brothers, Nick, Kevin, and Joe Jonas. The band also shook hands with skipper Aaron Boone and had a heartwarming conversation with fellow Jersey native Anthony Volpe. Sharing the experience, Nick Jonas said they all had been huge Yankee fans growing up, and to be able to stand here today on the field felt great. Nick also called a 6-foot-7 Aaron Judge a great and enormous guy. Overall, the brothers spent quality time in the Bronx and will now head away to prepare for the big night in August.
Anthony Volpe Meets New Jersey Natives During Live BP Session
One guy who jumped in excitement seeing the Jonas brother walk into the stadium was 21-year-old rookie Anthony Volpe. Hailing from the small town of Watchung in New Jersey, Volpe walked down to greet the boy band and said, “I’m from New Jersey, too.” The natives had a brief chat and bonded on their mutual Jersey roots.
The Jonas brother also spoke in length about their thoughts on the club and said growing up, Derek Jeter, Jorge Posada, Hideki Matsui, and Bernie Williams were their all-time favorites. Moreover, currently, they are in awe of Aaron Judge, whom they recalled meeting earlier. Lastly, they exchanged pleasantries with a few other players, including ace pitcher Gerrit Cole and called it a day.
