Everybody knows that the Lakers need Anthony Davis now more than ever. The leader of the side, LeBron James, is ruled out due to a tendon injury on his right foot. AD was not available for several matches after sustaining an injury last December. Apparently, LeBron James carried the team without much help as well as he could. Now it seems like AD has got to take the same responsibility.

But it is not very new for Anthony Davis as he has done this before. The previous season when the King was out with injury, it fell again on AD. Albeit, the season did not end in their favor. But after the match against the Warriors, it seems like he is determined to turn things around.

Injuries Destroyed The Lakers This Season, How Will They Recover?

The latest information about LeBron’s injury suggests that he won’t return very soon. King James may take the whole of March to recover and eventually return. But it will be too risky to rely on when the King will return and help the team reach the postseason. The clock is ticking for the Lakers as it is now or never for the franchise. On the bright side, the Lakers have a comparatively easy remaining schedule. LA should make full use of it. The franchise may not have a good beginning in the current season, but it does not have to end like that. The Lakers suffered because of a lack of balance on the side. But the February trade right before the deadline helped the side find the balance that was missing from their roster.

However, injuries to key players kind of ruined their proceedings to the next phase of the season. But there is no time to think about that and make the best use of what they have got. All eyes are on the eight-time All-Star and his fitness. Head coach Darvin Ham explained that the management wouldn’t put much pressure on AD’s feet. Hence, in case of any back-to-back game, the team will miss Anthony Davis for at least one of the two games.

Coach Ham also mentioned that AD is keen on helping the team find the streak that will help them move further. Coach says that Anthony Davis is in a great place physically and mentally at present. Ham points out that he has good players around him supporting him with smart plays. The most important thing, though, the coach mentioned, is that AD is playing “pain-free.” In the last encounter between Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors, the Brow made sure his side got the much important points to hang in there. The Lakers were playing sans, LeBron James and D’Angelo Russell.

On the other hand, the Warriors had their star Steph Curry making a comeback after injury. But it did not matter as Anthony Davis overshadowed all with his incredible performance. AD scored an exhilarating 39 points and helped the team come back from a 27 points deficit. After the game, the Brow mentioned that he is feeling very confident and comfortable. Hence if everything goes right, AD will be able to take the Lakers a long way in the season.
