Both LeBron James and Steph Curry, two legends of the game, are struggling with fitness in the current season. The Lakers’ ace and the Warriors’ star have been in pretty good form lately. Only of the injuries have they been unable to unleash their natural best. But their teams will need them to come back strong whenever they return as they are heading to the end of the regular season. Recently LeBron James sustained a terrible foot injury ruling him out for two weeks. The Lakers will miss LeBron James, but the Warriors may have Steph Curry returning on Sunday.

Steph Curry Eager To Comeback Against The Lakers

Steph has been very eager to be on the court, but if he makes a comeback against the Lakers, then that would make him miss 11 games before that. But the Warriors have kept their hopes alive for the playoffs even without Steph Curry. They have won five and lost four sans Curry. The Golden State Warriors are currently 33-30. They are in 5th place in the Western Conference. Fans of the Warriors can only expect things to get better when Steph Curry returns to the center stage. He has been performing pretty well, with an average of scoring points per game above 29.0.

Curry’s average has been 29.4 ppg, to be exact, along with 6.4 apg, 6.3 rpg, and 1.0 steal in the 38 matches he has played in the current ongoing season. Hence, Steph Curry was in great form until he got injured in the game against the Dallas Mavericks on February 4. Curry was out with partially tearing his ligaments. The doctors ordered that he would need rest due to superior tibiofibular ligaments along with interosseous membrane suffering tears partially. Albeit this injury-related concern was not the first for Steph Curry in this season. He had missed a lot of games in late December last year and early January this year. But the question is why these star players of their respective teams have become so injury prone.

Why Do Stars Like Curry & James Keep Staying Out?

Is it their age or something else? But what else could it be? These players have been giving their very best every time they are getting a chance to be in the line-up. The Warriors will hope Steph Curry stays fit and helps them defend the championship. The head coach, Steve Kerr, mentioned that even though Curry will not play the next two matches for the Warriors, but there is a chance he will make it to the game against the Lakers. Coach Kerr is not ruling that possibility out.

The Warriors will face Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday, and on Friday, they will face the New Orleans Pelicans. Kerr spoke to NBC Sports and mentioned, “Curry has been working very hard on his recovery. No doubt he is looking better. In fact, after a few days of sustaining the injury, he got on the bike. Steph Curry looks pretty good on the bike because he goes really, very hard. There is no question about his commitment level. It is always high. We will evaluate again and hope to get good news soon.”
