Yankees- Aaron Judge

The Spring Training of the MLB 2023 World Series is coming in less than a month. And, this time, it will be something more! It will be more like a battle. With the top prospects and several rookies, the team is heading with hopes and higher expectations. No doubt, the Yankees did a great job in terms of selecting the rosters this year. They got Aaron Judge, the season record-breaker, back to the team. Not only him, but they also got Carlos Rodon to the Yankees, and till the last moment of the trade deadline. They are indeed trying on great players like Bryan Reynolds so that this time the team finally could claim that the Yankees left nothing in order to claim the championship.

With Oswald Peraza and the top prospect Anthony Volpe along with the outfielders like Isiah Kiner-Felefa, this time on the Opening day, the Bronx bombers are going to have a serious look. Given that, Yankees manager Aaron Boone came to figure out the qualities of the players which will be featured soon in the spring training. On Thursday at the “Hot Stove” show presented on YES Network, Aaron Boone said, “It [The Spring Training of 2023] will be a battle.”

Boone is positive about the performances of the rosters. He feels no shame in appreciating those doing really well this time. Like Peralta, who finished the 2022 season at Tiple-A in the latter part of the year. About Volpe, the manager praised and made a big claim saying, “He is going to get a lot of reps in the spring training.”

“You Never Know, Who Will Do Great” Said Aaron Boone About The Yankees New Players

Having Volpe in the rotations, who has just played 21 games so far, goes against Yankees morals which prefer only young players with at least close to a full season at one minor league. However, Aaron Boone is confident about Volpe. He played 21 games but played too well to get promoted from the Double-A Somerset to the triple. Boone tends to believe that he will make a way out to the season with the Yankees.

Speaking about the 21-game player, Aaron Boone admitted, “Yes. He does not have a lot of Triple-A time, but you never know.[when he paves the way for it].” He believes that Volpe still has the power to come back and force the onus of a decision on the Yankees. Now all that we have to do is see how the player plays out in the Spring training. Only then Yankees can make out a decision.

For the battle that Aaron Boone believes they will have in the Spring, not only Anthony Volpe but also Kiner Falefa was involved. Boone has claimed that he [Kiner-Falefa] is one of the players who are capable of being a starting bid shortstop. And Kiner-Falefa has been “Versatile”.
