There is no set timetable for LA Lakers star LeBron James to return back on the court as he recovers from a right foot injury.

Los Angeles Lakers are in deep waters yet again by losing out a crucial game against the Houston Rockets. The team heavily missed the services of their top two point scorers, LeBron James and Anthony Davis. While James is completing his rehab for the foot injury, Davis was benched as a precautionary measure to keep his stress foot in check.

LeBron James, the superstar forward for the Los Angeles Lakers, has been sidelined by a right foot tendon injury. The injury occurred during a game against the Dallas Mavericks earlier this month. Since then, James has been out of commission. However, according to a recent report, James is feeling much better, but the Lakers are planning to hold him back for an extended period of time.

LA Lakers key contributor, LeBron James, dealt with a severe right foot injury earlier this month. Furthermore, the medical team ruled him out for three weeks and sent him to rehab. He is currently in his second week of rehab and apparently feeling a whole lot better than before. James even ditched his walking boot and did some free throw practice. He will go for the final scans and assessment in the next week. However, as per a few media reports, the Lakers are not letting LeBron get back on the court just yet.

While LeBron James remains injury free, the Lakers’ front office believes he cannot step back on the court just yet. James needs to undergo a few practice sessions, and it will be a couple of weeks before he attains full-match fitness. With just four weeks to the regular season, the latest injury update on LeBron is pretty devastating for the Lakers fan. The team needs him now more than ever as they are striving hard to book a berth in the playoffs. Moreover, without James, the dream is getting more far-fetched.

Anthony Davis Also Missed The Game Against The Rockets Despite Being Healthy

Without LeBron James, Anthony Davis is the Lakers’ only hope. Since James’ injury, Davis has embraced the leadership role and led the team to a couple of commanding victories. However, the front office made a bizarre decision of benching AD for the game against the Rockets. The head coach, Darvin Ham, explained that Davis is not allowed to play back-to-back games as a part of his foot injury recovery plan.

Furthermore, Ham went on to say that AD is healthy and is not feeling any pain in his left foot. This puzzled the fans, and the critics, as benching Anthony Davis without any potential injury makes no sense, especially when the team is in such a tight situation. Further, the Los Angeles Lakers paid the price of such uncanny tactics as they ended up losing the game by five points.
