The new Mercedes Single-Seater F1 challenger surprised the world with its changed theme. Just after the launch on February 15, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell had taken the new car on the track of Silverstone for the pre-season running. And just the next day, both the British drivers again spend some time with the new W14 car. The team used one of the two days they got for filming purposes. Even before the official pre-season testing takes place in Bahrain at the International Circuit next week, Mercedes managed to take out “some of the findings” from the car.

We got through a good program, and we have come away with some useful findings.” Speaking of himself, Hamilton stated that he felt generally comfortable in the car “I am really excited to get going in Bahrain.”

For the change in a color that made fans a little more excited as it fulfilled their demand, Lewis Hamilton said, “I love the black liver in W14.” This, in terms, is known as the business! But on the other terms, it encourages and motivates the driver even more. The change in livery was basically brought to reduce the weight of the car. Apparently, the carbon color weighs less than the silver scheme. This will likely aid Mercedes in remaining under the weight limit given by FIA.
Besides, the trackside director of the Silver Arrows, Andrew Shovlin, emerged to figure out some positive news for Mercedes. He reported that a “solid start” is paving the route for MErcedes’ championship win. He stated that the conditions during the test run for filming were not good. Yet both Lewis Hamilton and George Russell completed the 100km run without any issues. “A good assessment from the first impression of the W14 has been recorded,” as suggested by Andrew Shovlin.
