[WATCH] Lewis Hamilton & George Russell Taking You To A Magnificent Tour Of Mercedes Factory

Lewis Hamilton and George Russell have been promised to get a strong car for next year’s formula one championship. After surviving the disastrous season of 2022, in which the proudest team of the sport got only one win. Toto Wolff and the entire staff of the Mercedes factory are even more motivated. Whatever happened in 2022 will never happen again in 2023, and so the engine factory of Mercedes is awake all day and night. The work will not be over until they make the strongest possible engine on the grid.

As of now, in the winter vacation, the drivers are enjoying while being concerned about the car they will get to drive next year. Meanwhile, Mercedes boss, Toto Wolff, takes his champs to have a tour of the Mercedes engine factory while the W14 is being prepared. An official video has been released covering the funny moments of what happened during the tour. George Russell, for the first time, entered the grand engine factory of the Silver Arrows. He seemed so excited, as expected. Lewis Hamilton, on another hand, already believes Mercedes is not a team but his family, so he was happy to meet the staff too.

George Russell Suggests Not To Remove The Sidepod Design From Mercedes 2023 Car

George Russell is always liked by his nature of making funny moments. As he enters the Mercedes factory, he makes everyone laugh at the fact that they are not wearing good shoes. So please don’t take photographs of shoes. Both the drivers then had a photoshoot. Hamilton and George met everyone and appreciated their hard work. It was a funny and beautiful tour for the drivers and also for the fans.

The team is building the car for 2023 with a new concept. This time they are aware of what happens when one ignores the adjustment to the new regulations. The biggest rival Mercedes has at present is Red Bull. And let’s say it’s a stroke of luck, and Red Bull has got a big disadvantage next year in the form of the cost cap penalty. When Mercedes got third in the constructor’s championship, it got a 10% more allowance in the aerodynamics run than Red Bull. And, with FIA punishing Red Bull to have a 10% reduction in the Wind Tunnel running, Mercedes got a 20% advantage over Red Bull.

If only Mercedes manages to succeed in utilizing those advantages, they will make a stronger car than RB18. In order to make a better car than W13, team Mercedes decided to drop off their sidepod concept. But George Russell is stressing not to remove it from the design package of 2023. The 2022 Brazilian GP winner believes that they did not lose their pace because of the sidepod design of W13. However, he suggested that a lot of other improvements are indeed necessary.
