Vladimir Gurrero Jr. Angers New York Yankees\’ Fans Over Controversial Remarks, Claims He Will Never Join The Brox

Vladimir Gurrero Jr. is a Canadian-Dominican baseman and son of former MLB star Vladimir Gurrero Sr., who is currently a player for the Toronto Blue Jays in the MLB. Called by many the Yankee-killer, the players always bring out his while playing against Blue Jays\’ most fierce AL East rivals, the Yankees. Even though the player very much enjoys playing in New York City, he is in no mood to join the Yankees anytime soon or maybe ever, as he claimed in an interview.

The Yankees, the team\’s most notable AL East foe, have been a major source of personal success for Blue Jays standout Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Guerrero has a.289/.344/.579 batting line with ten home runs in 31 games played in the Bronx. Vlad Jr., the team\’s second baseman, is set to become a free agent following the 2025 season. Although his future in Toronto is uncertain, it is certain he won\’t be donning the pinstripes of the New York Yankees any time soon. 

Recently, the Blue Jays star appeared in an interview with Vincent Carmona Arias for his YouTube channel \”El Dotol Nastra\”. During the conversation, he was asked whether he would like to be a part of the New York Yankees in the future. To which the baseman responded that he had no interest in playing for the Bronx club. Vladimir stated that he likes playing in New York. However, he would never sign the Yankees club. He even went on to say that he would not sign the Yankees even when he is dead. Meanwhile, there is still a long period of three years. Therefore, we won\’t be surprised if Guerrero has a change of heart in 2025 if the Yankees offer him a hefty contract.

On the other hand, Guerrero Jr. has proved to be a \”Yankee-killer\”. The 23-year-old has a.289 lifetimes hitting average versus the Yankees, with 13 home runs and 41 RBI. He has also hit ten home runs in 31 games total at Yankee Stadium. Guerrero Jr. had an overall fruitful year in 2022. This season, he hit 32 home runs and took home the first base Gold Glove award.
