New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge has been on a tear this season, showcasing his prodigious power at the plate with consistent home run hitting. He went on a nuclear stretch in May and went from a .178 average to a .302 average in a span of four weeks. Not only that, the captain continued the momentum in June also. Despite his team going down on a losing streak, Judge stacked up home runs and RBIs like a child’s play. Recently, on Sunday, Judge finished with two hits and two runs batted in on Sunday vs Blue Jays. He also scored his 31st home run of the season to surpass Hall of Famer Yankee legend Babe Ruth in an iconic franchise history.

Aaron Judge now has the most amount of home runs scored by a Yankee before July 1, thus surpassing Babe Ruth’s original record. Babe Ruth scored 30 long hits before July 1 in the 1928 and 1930 seasons. Interestingly, the slugger already has 31 home runs and a record 82 RBIs in the first half of the season itself. Hence, Judge is on pace to finish with a career-high home run and runs batted in. Not only that, but the captain also has a strong chance to compete for the AL-MVP. Overall, as the season progresses, Judge’s performance will continue to be a focal point for the New York Yankees. His ability to hit home runs and provide consistent offensive production is crucial for the team’s aspirations. With Judge in top form, the Yankees are well-positioned to make a strong push for the playoffs.
