New York Yankees are taking a day off ahead of the spring training opener and engaging in a team bonding session.

Bronx Bombers are gathered at the George Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Florida, to begin the 2023 MLB season campaign. The season is less than six weeks away. Moreover, ahead of opening day, spring training is scheduled to commence from today. The New York Yankees will play their opener against the Philadelphia Phillies at BayCare Ballpark in Florida.

The pitchers, catchers, sluggers, and position players took an active part in all the practice as well as workout sessions. However, ahead of tonight’s game, the bullpen decided to take some time off and participated in a team bonding session outside the baseball ballpark.

The New York Yankees have been grinding hard at the spring training practice sessions for the past week. Hence, as they stand on the verge of the opening game against the Phillies, the team decided to take the day off to rejuvenate. Further, the front office arranged a team bonding session for the bullpen outside the baseball field. As per MLB insider Bryan Hoch, the Yankees are taking part in an upscale mini-golf match.

A game of upscale mini-golf is just a normal mini-golf match wherein the participants are expected to wear suits and speak in a British accent. There, the Yanks’ veterans and rookie players are teamed up against each other. The idea behind the mini-golf outing was to give the players a chance to unwind and bond outside of the competitive atmosphere of baseball. Moreover, it provided the players with an opportunity to bond and connect with each other in a fun and relaxed setting.

Meanwhile, Yankees superstar slugger, Aaron Judge, seemed in a jolly mood at yesterday’s spring training practice session. A few photos uploaded on Twitter featured Judge enacting a basketball dunk gesture. Further, the pictures went instantly viral, and the internet is in splits. Aaron is an extremely calm and friendly personality off the field. Hence, his fun gestures do not come as a surprise.

Meanwhile, the New York Yankees are gearing up for the spring training opener against the Phillies. Further, the front office is likely to show a lot of faith in the young guns as they will feature in the starting roster for the opening game. Jasson Dominguez is a confirmed name for now. Along with him, Oswald Peraza, Anthony Volpe, and many others will likely have a chance to feature in the roster. However, a few injury concerns might hamper the team’s plans for the regular MLB season. But for now, the focus remains on upcoming spring training.
