People often argue about who’s the greatest of all time. LeBron James Or Michael Jordan? For some, LeBron James is definitely the greatest player of his generation. What he has been able to accomplish in his twenty-long NBA career is something very few players can even imagine. In almost 40 years, nobody imagined that the long-standing scoring record of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar could ever be touched. Moreover, great players like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, and so on have great records of scoring.

However, King James, in his 20th NBA season, not only touched ‘Captain’s scoring record but also surpassed it. He is way past it now and will stretch the scoring record margin even more till he retires. If it took almost four decades to reach KAJ, then how long will it take to reach LeBron James’ record? The Captain also mentioned the same desire, “I hope James carries the record for more years than I did.” On top of that, James is number four in all-time assists and has broken innumerable records in playoffs this year. Hence, it is more than just if the film industry people also want to capture LeBron James’ life and his experience, similar to that of Michael Jordan.

LeBron James is on his way to winning his 5th NBA ring this season. Hence, it is fair to claim that his 20th season has been very fruitful for him. Apparently, very few can even come close to the legacy of James after he retires. The man from Akron, Ohio, has been a gift to his mother and the National Basketball Association. Sadly, he did not have his father when he was growing up. But what a son he has been to his mother and a loving husband to his wife, also being a very caring father to his kids. Therefore, it is only fair that a well-known documentary film-making team is planning for a special documentary on Lakers star LeBron James.

As per the latest information, the team who made Michael Jordan’s “The Last Dance” featuring the 1997 Chicago Bull team might be planning on making a documentary on the Lakers’ ace. Recently on Awful Running Podcast, John Ireland, the voice of Lakers Radio, mentioned, “Andy Thompson, who made ‘The Last Dance,’ has been recording LeBron James and the team’s footage.” Hence, if the Lakers win the 18th championship this season, then it would be a nice story to tell the world. On top of that, Andy has been working on making a film to capture the end run of LeBron James as he did for Michael Jordan.

Why A Documentary Like “The Last Dance” A Great Idea For James?

The Last Dance was released in 2020 during the pandemic, and it helped a lot of people to boost their morale, including LeBron James. So clearly, any docuseries or documentary film like that based on James will be an instant hit, more so if the Lakers win it all this season. Currently, they are only eight game wins away from lifting their 18th championship. James is on the go to win his fifth championship, one less than Michael Jordan. So, the documentary would be inspiring because, initially, the Lakers had a terrible start to the current season, losing ten out of the first twelve games. From that situation, a 38-year-old legend inspired his team to get up and win the championship. That is a great story.
