Lewis Hamilton has been going through one of the most challenging phases of his life since losing the eighth championship title to Max Verstappen last year in Abu Dhabi. The Briton found it really hard to retain his winning focus as he found himself in the latest Mercedes W13, troubled by porpoising. The seven-time world champ failed to compete at the front against Red Bull and Ferrari, lacking the pace to win a race so far. However, things have turned quickly for Mercedes and Hamilton in the last five races.

The Briton clinched two consecutive P2 finishes in France and Hungary after finishing P3 thrice before that. The Silver Arrows also secured two back-to-back double podiums in the last two races. Thus, the recent results suggest that Mercedes might soon be up for starting a three-way battle for the championship with nine more races left in the second half. The teams are currently enjoying summer break and will gather in Spa this Friday to kick off the Belgian GP.

Lewis Hamilton Reveals The Advice To His Younger Self

Recently, Lewis Hamilton talked about his Formula 1 journey. The Briton revealed the things he would have shared with his younger self ahead of his F1 debut in 2007. The 37-year-old had an incredible first season, finishing third in his debut race at the Australian GP. He went on to compete with his senior teammate Fernando Alonso in the drivers’ championship. The duo finished the season on equal points, with Kimi Raikkonen winning the championship with an advantage of one point.

Lewis quickly won the title in 2008 before struggling with McLaren for a couple of years. He moved to Mercedes and won six drivers’ titles between 2014 and 2020. He also helped the Silver Arrows win eight consecutive constructors’ championships since 2014. Reflecting on his journey, Hamilton stated that he would have a deep conversation with his younger self. He would have advised younger lewis to enjoy and make the most of time because it is precious.

Moreover, Briton suggested that people feel they would live forever and have all the time in the world at a young age. However, Lewis Hamilton said that time was precious. Hence, time needs to be maximized for every moment people get with family and friends. He added, “to create memories, that’s the most important thing. And don’t stress too much.”
