LeBron James Pulls Off A Kobe Bryant, Reportedly Gone Through Plasma Treatment To Curb His Injury

LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers star striker, has been sidelined due to a right foot injury for three weeks.

The LA Lakers registered a thumping win over Orlando Magic owing to Austin Reaves’ clinical 35-point performance. With that, the Lakers become the 10th-seed team in the Western Conference table with a record of 35-37. However, the team still needs to level up at least two places to qualify for the play-ins, and without LeBron James, the dream looks highly far-fetched.

LeBron James has been missing in action for the past three weeks after suffering from a right foot tendon injury. Since then, there has been radio silence on the Lakers camp regarding his comeback timeline. While they ensure that James’ recovery goes according to plan, no timetable or date is set for his return. Amid the uncertainty, rumors are coming in that James has sought a treatment method used by his former teammate Kobe Bryant years ago.

LA Lakers veteran forward LeBron James desperately wants to step back on the court to help his team reach the playoffs. The Lakers have struggled massively during his absence in the past three weeks. The 38-year-old has been the lead point contributor for the purple and gold this season. However, constant injuries continue to trouble James. Meanwhile, LeBron takes it upon himself and has reportedly found a unique solution to cure the injury at a faster pace. Reports circulating in the media suggest that LeBron James may have recently made a trip to Germany to undergo plasma treatment on his injured foot.

Plasma treatment which involves injecting the patient’s own blood back into their body has become increasingly popular among athletes in recent years. In fact, LeBron’s late friend and fellow basketball legend Kobe Bryant underwent the same treatment. Kobe was one of the first high-profile athletes to undergo PRP therapy when he traveled to Germany in 2013 to receive treatment for his ailing knee.

On top of that, LeBron’s teammate, Dennis Schroder, earlier commenting on LeBron’s injury status, said that he heard that German doctors are good, hinting at James’ alleged Germany trip. If LeBron did indeed undergo PRP therapy, it would suggest that he is taking his injury very seriously and doing everything he can to get back on the court as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, after suffering a crushing loss against the Dallas Mavericks, the Lakers are back to winning ways. On Sunday, they faced Orlando Magic in a must-win game. Austin Reaves, the young gun of the new-look Lakers, stole the show with a magnificent display of quality basketball skills. He claimed 35 points with 6 assists and 6 rebounds.

Additionally, Anthony Davis and D’Angelo Russell contributed 15 and 18 points, respectively. Moreover, the win helped the Lakers level up to the 10th seed. However, the loss against the Rockets and Mavericks has hurt the team big time. Now, they have only 10 games in hand to qualify in the final 8 of the West. How long they can move forward without the services of LeBron James remains to be seen.
