His dominance helped the Lakers win after a damaging first half. Moreover, LeBron James registered another 30+ point game and matched the biggest second-half comeback of his career and the second largest in the history of the NBA.

Meanwhile, yet another monumental record is awaiting the “GOAT”. LeBron James is now 224 runs short of beating Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time leading scorer in the history of the NBA. James stands at 38,164, and he needs 224 more points to beat Kareem’s score of 38,387. Moreover, at this pace, it looks like LeBron will surpass the record in the ongoing season itself, considering he plays every game from hereon.

The Lakers entered favorites in the game against Trail Blazers. However, the first half changed the story completely. The purple and gold scored only 13 against 45 in the second half and entered the half with a deficit of 25 points. The Lakers stared at another defeat coming their way. However, the team was not ready to give up just yet. And who other than King James could have gotten them out of this mess.

LeBron James played his usual self and dominated the 3rd quarter, scoring 17 points alone. As a result, the deficit came down to just 5 points. Moreover, James continued his supremacy in the last quarter as well and closed the game for the Lakers. LeBron fell short of three points for a 40-point game and ended the game with 37 points. Besides, Thomas Bryant played a perfect second fiddle with 31 points. The game ended with a scoreline of 121-112, giving the Lakers a level up in the points table. Still, the battle of the playoffs is far from over.
