LeBron James Getting Criticised Even After Putting Up Numbers, “Not The Same Gravy Anymore”

The Los Angeles Lakers are having a nightmare of a season but did not embarrass themselves on the last day of 2022. LeBron James was also in the mood as he celebrated his 38th birthday a night before the game. Meanwhile, the year has shifted. But LA seems to have the same stagnant and lazy attitude to bring change to the squad. The win to start the new year should boost the efficacy of the team for the new year. However, the team still sits at the bottom of the table with no motivation to climb the standings. If things stay mallow in the Lakers, they might also lose the spot at playoffs this year.

The front office has teased and tested Lakers fans’ patience but is yet to deliver a well-thought trade to the team. The Los Angeles Lakers are not the team who usually sits at the bottom and misses playoffs regularly. But the past couple of year has been a test that Hollywood has consecutively failed after getting their hands on the trophy in 2020. On the one hand, LA is struggling. And on the other, LeBron James celebrated his birthday bash with 47 grand points against Atlanta Hawks on December 31.

LeBron James Receives Praise From His Nemesis

Although King James is not the most loved player in the NBA, his remarkable feats at the age of 38 are impossible to skip. LeBron James’ old-time rival and arch-enemy, Paul Pierce, tweeted saying James is defying father time. Pierce even used a hashtag that said ‘Goatshit’. It is ironic because Paul does not even count the 18-time All-star as one of his top five players and calls him the greatest. It looks like the domination that James is inflicting is keeping everyone on their toes, even if they are watching at home.

Pierce and James’ rivalry goes back to 2003 when Paul spat on the Cavaliers’ bench. Ever since that moment, the rivalry made the game so heated that the games became impossible to miss. Meanwhile, the critics and the best players of their times all believe that what LeBron James is producing was never seen in NBA before. Another Celtics player Kevin Garnett tweeted about the brilliance of LeBron, calling his performances crazy. He also mentioned that James is really redefining the term father time.

Fox Sports Panelist Makes Comments

The Lakers superstar LeBron James is playing his 20th season in the NBA this year at 38. Chris Broussard praises him for his magnificent performance. However, he also believes it is not enough for the 15-21 Lakers. The news channel critique also mentions that King James is not the same gravy anymore. According to Chris, LeBron is not even the number one guy on his own team.

The panelist believes that LeBron James is scoring in a league that is easy compared to other leagues worldwide. He also argued that since no one has done what James is doing, he automatically becomes the best. And that there is only one guy who topped him, Michael Jordan.
