LeBron James Frustration Came Out Over NBA Referee’s Dubious No-Call Decisions

Los Angeles Lakers are struggling in the ongoing NBA season. Despite five consecutive wins, the purple and gold are the 3rd worst team in the western conference group. Meanwhile, LeBron James has been on an unimaginable scoring spree. In the previous game against the 76ers, King James surpassed 38,000 career points, becoming the only second player in the history of the American League to do so. He now aims for the all-time record held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the leading scorer in the history of the NBA.

However, despite James’ consistent performances, the Lakers are ending up on the losing side. After five consecutive wins, the Lakers lost their last two games by the closest of margins. Moreover, the referee’s controversial on-court decisions have created an uproar on social media. The Lakers fans have called out the referees for being biased. Further, the Lakers’ lead forward, LeBron James, has joined the fans and raised his voice.

The Lakers lost their last two games against Mavericks and 76ers by a margin of fewer than 5 points. Moreover, both games ended up stirring huge controversies. For instance, against the Mavericks, the referees missed calling seven fouls despite the Lakers’ repeated appeals and protests. Eventually, the game was pushed to overtime, which marked the defeat of the purple and the gold.

Meanwhile, in the latest against the 76ers, the Lakers appealed for a foul in the final 2 minutes. The club complained that Joel Embiid made a foul on Russell Westbrook. However, the officials stayed firm and gave a no-call decision. The Lakers eventually lost that game by falling short of just one point. Naturally, the Lakers, including LeBron James, are frustrated. King James took a step forward in expressing his disappointment. He replied to a fan tweet saying that he has been hearing the refs say no foul all this year, which is not making sense to him. James further added that he is extremely frustrated with the entire situation.

“It’s not making sense to me seriously! Frustrating as hell man!,” tweeted LeBron James.

Can The Lakers Turn It Around From Here?

LeBron James & Davis

The LA Lakers are visibly struggling. They never thought they would end up being the third-worst team in the western conference at the end of the mid-season. However, it’s the reality that they have to accept. Moving on upwards from here looks nearly not entirely impossible. Meanwhile, they are expecting Anthony Davis back soon. He will strengthen the lineup for sure.

Moreover, the mid-season trade window will open up soon. Hence, the Lakers could target certain players that could fit in their lineup. Rumors of LeBron James’ trade are rife as well. However, that is not entirely possible as there is a clause in James’ contract that he could not opt out mid-season. The Lakers still have a few games to play before the whole reshuffling takes place. One or two wins from here will boost their confidence, as moving forward in the points table looks unlikely for now.
