Lebron & Bronny James
Lebron & Bronny James

LeBron James revealed his desire to end his career while playing alongside his son, Bronny, a long time back. The Lakers’ ace mentioned that even though they don’t talk much about the future, it is kind of his last goal in basketball. He believes all his wishes for his basketball career have come true. But he really hopes the final wish to play alongside his sons for an NBA team happens in reality. As things turn out, his desire will become true thanks to King’s longevity and durability. LeBron James is currently in his 20th season in NBA, and Bronny, his eldest son, is 18 at the moment. In 2023 Bronny James was included as a senior in McDonald’s All-American Game. Bronny is a four-star recruit.

Jonathan Givony, an expert in DraftExpress service, ranked the eldest son of LeBron James at number ten on a tentative 2024 NBA Draft Board and presented the possibility of Orlando Magic drafting Bronny. These rankings will keep changing for twelve or fifteen months. Albeit LeBron’s eldest son’s average is not as impressive as the hype around him.

Bronny James, as a senior, averages 13.8 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 2.7 apg, and 1.8 spg. The eldest son of the King is not among the top picks for the following year’s drafts or so. But people have noticed that he has got skills. With time Bronny James will only get better because of the environment he gets to live in, especially around his father. However, at present, there are a lot of better prospects at the High School basketball level than the King’s son.

LeBron James Compares His Son To A Few NBA Players

It is not fair to compare the High School talents to the NBA players because the latter group is the best in the whole world. But that does not stop LeBron James from doing so. Not many players in the current or the yesteryears of basketball have reached the level of King James. But even when he makes a statement that sounds too good to be true sounds the same kind of outrageous to everybody.

There were six games last night of the NBA regular season. Current top players were in action, including the two-time MVP, Nikola Jokic, Damian Lillard, Jaylen Brown, Donovan Mitchell, and so on. Some lottery teams like Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons also had their games last night.

Meanwhile, LeBron James thought it was a perfect time to poke his colleagues and simultaneously promote his eldest son’s image as a future NBA superstar. King James claims that his son is better than quite a few players who were in action last night. Certainly, Bronny James has potential, but is it right to compare him right away with his father and other top players in the league? That is the question. In high school basketball, LeBron James has the best record alongside Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

But Bronny is in no way near his legendary dad. However, Bronny got to be on the cover page of Sports Illustrated at a younger age than LeBron James. King James in 2002 was on the cover of Sports Illustrated as a new rising talent. Eventually, he went on to win the Rookie of the year award. Only time will tell how far the son of the King will go.
