Nonetheless, this is still an improvement on the Lakers\’ performance last season, as the team lost all of their preseason games in the 2021 NBA season. After a close encounter with the Timberwolves on Wednesday, the Lakers will compete against Sacramento Kings in their fifth and last preseason game. Despite the Lakers lineup looking before the game against Minnesota, the Timberwolves managed to find the chunk in the armor. And defeated Los Angeles by 113-118 in a closely contested game. Meanwhile, as the Lakers are scheduled to face the Kings on Friday, it is the final opportunity for the team to figure out their lineup and strategy for the 2022 NBA season. 


The Los Angeles Lakers allow 115.4 points on 42.2 percent shooting while scoring 105.2 points on average. LeBron James averages 17.3 points and five rebounds, compared to Anthony Davis\’ 19.3 points and nine rebounds. The third player in double figures is Kendrick Nunn, while Lonnie Walker IV is pulling down 2.7 boards per game. The Los Angeles Lakers are converting 74.5 percent of their free throw attempts and 29.3 percent of their 3-point attempts. The Los Angeles Lakers allow 31.1 percent 3-point shooting while pulling down 48 rebounds a contest.

The Sacramento Kings score 112 points on average while shooting 43.9 percent from the field and surrendering 91 points while shooting 37.7 percent. De\’Aaron Fox averages 13 points and 2.7 rebounds. Keegan Murray scores 16 points and pulls down 4.5 boards each game. Terence Davis is pulling down 1.7 rebounds per game, and Richaun Holmes is the third player in double figures. The Sacramento Kings are converting 64.8 percent of their free throw attempts and 35.8 percent of their 3-point attempts. The Kings pull down 46.7 rebounds per contest while allowing 27.3 percent three-point shooting.


With just one game remaining before the start of the regular season, this might be the right time for the Lakers to get into the rhythm again. The team has experimented with many changes in their squad. But they are still looking to find the right combination. Nonetheless, there is no doubt what a formidable side Lakers can turn out to be if their big players play as per their reputations. 

On the other hand, Sacramento Kings would want to continue breaking negative records. And balance the scales in their head-to-head encounters against the Lakers. Even though the betting odds for the game have not been revealed yet, many believe that the Hollywood will start as favorites.
