LeBron James, Lakers
LeBron James

The Los Angeles Lakers are on fire with one of the greatest players in the history of basketball on their side. It was a little different game from the former champion than his usual performance. Instead of playing his massive attacking points-scoring game, he had more of a defensive performance. It looks like James has no problem finding different ways to snatch the game from his opponents. The experts are even saying that they had never watched a performance so unique from a great player before.

The Lakers superstar is often compared to the great Chicago Bulls’ Michael Jordan because of his abilities. And the last game showed that James could help the team win in many ways than just scoring points. The host Nick Wright even praised the 38-year-old for his commendable clutch performance in game 4 of the series. He also said that “no player in league history, other than MJ, has a quarter of the resume of LeBron James.” This tells what a remarkable career King James has had and continues to tear the league. Keep reading to know more about how James is making history every day.

There is not just one legend that James continues to challenge. When he made 20 total rebounds in the last game of the series, it reminded Nick of Kobe Bryant. While playing in the NBA finals in 2010, “Kobe Bryant had the second-most rebounds of any game in his career,” Nick said. From the start of the season, the two superstars are keen on saying they would do anything to help the team. And in the last game, they proved that. If one looks at the team’s statistics for the last two months, one would agree that the team has a winning pedigree.

LeBron’s injuries are the major reason for him to stay back and defend in such important playoff fixtures. Otherwise, he would have liked to run on the opponents to score the points above them. But even from the deep end of the court. His game-tying basket is being appreciated all over the news as it gave LA the opportunity to seal the game in overtime. He finished the game with 22 points, 20 rebounds, and seven assists at the end of the night.

Lakers Superstar Practices The Layup Shots

In the game that could have easily lost to level the series in game 3, LA has to thank LeBron James’ layup shot. If he did not make the shot, the team would have lost at home in front of the home fans. The clock showed only 0.8 seconds when the ball hit the basketball net. And the Lakers went on in the overtime to take the lead in the series 3-1.

There was something different about the layup shot that he took last night. And he talked about it in the postgame conference as well. He said that he practiced different layups for different heights. And it all made sense because the Defensive Player of the Year, Jaren Jackson Jr., would have easily blocked the shot. But James was ready for the moment as he had already practiced it.
