Lakers Respond To Dillon Brooks Ahead Of Playoffs Game 3! Will LeBron & AD Lead The Team Past Victory?

The Los Angeles Lakers have come a long way to be in the playoffs. There was a time when it did not seem possible to make the postseason. But the Lakers somehow did the unthinkable. They could not finish in the top six. Hence, the purple and gold fought their way through the play-in match and finally got where they are now. It was tough to get through all those injury issues and confusion with the balance in the roster.

However, it was perhaps the destiny of the Lakers to be in the playoffs, and as a result, they are. Hence, the players and coaches know how valuable the next phase is for them. The Lakers know how lucky they are to be here. Therefore, the purple and gold would not want to mess things up. They are way more experienced than the Grizzlies in knowing the methods of tackling trash talks.

Lakers Have A Perfect Reply For Dillon Brooks

Memphis Grizzlies had a great season so far as they finished as the second seed in the Western Conference. It is natural they will be in high confidence. But the problem is when people get a bit overconfident. For instance, Dillon Brooks of the Grizzlies is constantly trash-talking with the Lakers. Basically, what he means is that the Grizzlies will have a walk-in-the-park kind of a series against the Lakers. Brooks keeps pointing at LeBron James and how he is not fit to save his team from the wrath of the Grizzlies. To these trash talks, the Lakers have replied with elegance.

The newbie Rui Hachimura mentioned, “They are a young side. All they know is talking.” On the other hand, LeBron James also announced that he is ready for the challenge. In fact, these two players managed to score twenty and more against the Grizzlies in Game 2. However, no other player reached the twenty points mark. If the Lakers might win the series against the second-seeded Grizzlies, they will need Hachimura and James to be in their top form. Hachimura, in the last two games, has been splendid. After the first two games of the series, Hachimura got an average of 24.5 points.

Can LeBron James And Anthony Davis Help Their Team Get Past The Grizzlies?

The Lakers have done exceedingly well to beat the Grizzlies in Memphis in Game 1 of their playoff series. However, they blew their chance to get a 2-0 lead with the Grizzlies missing Ja Morant. But Anthony Davis displayed a disappointing show with only 13 points, and the Grizzlies were able to level the series. The Grizzlies might be a young side, but the Lakers have a lot of inexperienced talents.

Other than LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the team is filled with young talents. Austin Reaves is playing in his first playoffs. Rui Hachimura has played a total of seven games, including the last two games against the Grizzlies in playoffs. Hence, the series is evenly poised. Only time will tell if the experiences of AD and King James help the Lakers win the series.
