The Los Angele Lakers have been on a rollercoaster ride for the majority of the 2022 NBA season. Meanwhile, if there is one player who is most responsible for the teams\’ solid comeback nearly midway through the season, it is Anthony Davis. But unfortunately, last week, during a game against the Nuggets, Davis suffered a serious foot injury. And now the medical reports have confirmed that Davis will be out of action for several weeks now.

Anthony Davis, Unfortunately Ruled Out For Weeks!

AD, the forward for the Los Angeles Lakers, broke his foot during Friday\’s victory over the Denver Nuggets. This happened when he collided with Nikola Jokic. And sadly, the MRI confirmed the right foot injury, and the Lakers will now be without him for a few weeks.

After scoring 10 points in the first quarter, Anthony Davis sustained an injury. And despite his best efforts to stay in the game, he was eventually forced to depart in the second. A guy who has been averaging 27.4 points and 12.1 rebounds for the Lakers this year leaves the team. Davis kicked off December on a roll with 55 points and 17 rebounds in one game against the Washington Wizards. The Milwaukee Bucks were his next opponent, and he finished with 44 points and ten rebounds.

The injury occurred just as the Lakers were beginning to find their footing and play respectable basketball, going from 2-10 to 12-16 after finding their stride. In the Western Conference, the Lakers are currently ranked 12th. And merely 1.5 games behind the Minnesota Timberwolves in 10th place for the last play-in position.

It throws a strain on coach Darvin Ham\’s preparations. Now, he will be without a crucial player ahead of a hectic week. Phoenix Suns, The Wizards, Sacramento Kings, Charlotte Hornets, and Dallas Mavericks are among the teams the Lakers will play in the coming days.

Anthony Davis had averaged 32.4 points, 14.0 RPG, 2.8 assists, and 2.3 steals in 13 games from November 13 to December 13 before he suffered his latest setback. In addition to his 59.3 percent field goal success rate and 82.6 percent free throw success rate. Reportedly, he is averaging 27.4 points, 12.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.1 blocks a game. His finest season after being traded to the Lakers before the 2019–20 season, according to statistics.

For the majority of the season, Anthony Davis has been the key to the Lakers winning. And now, as he will be out of the action for a few days, the teams need other players to step up in his absence like Davis did when LeBron James for out. Fans hope veteran players like LeBron James, Westbrook, and Beverley to take charge now if the Lakers are to have any chance of qualifying for the playoffs.
