Meanwhile, on Sunday, a large number of fans turned up at Tampa to witness generational talent Juan Soto in the pinstripes. But in his second at-bat, the 25-year-old left the fans and his teammates in complete awe. Facing Toronto right-hander Trevor Richards, Soto towered a fastball over the scoreboard on the left-center field of George Steinbrenner field to secure a three-run home run on his debut game in pinstripes.

His teammates, including captain Aaron Judge, stood up in applause. “You just don’t see balls hit like that to the biggest part of the park,” said skipper Aaron Boone. Meanwhile, Juan Soto was happy with his effort and said the first hit as a Yankee meant a lot to him. Not only that, Yankees captain Aaron Judge applauded Soto’s infamous plate discipline. With his electrifying display of power and skill, Soto provided a glimpse of the exciting potential that he brings to the team.
