Juan Soto Didn’t Know Yankees Cap Aaron Judge “Was That Good”

Juan Soto, the New York Yankees newest superstar, joined the spring camp earlier this month. He was traded from the Padres earlier this off-season in a historic trade deal. While Soto is in his walk year, the Bronx Bombers are least concerned about the future. They want to win a championship now.

Having said that, Juan Soto will partner up with Yankees captain and former AL MVP Aaron Judge in the Bronx this year. The duo met up for the first time in the spring session in Tampa and exchanged warm greetings. Meanwhile, after the spring season-opening game, Soto shared his initial impression of the highly touted Yankee leader.

The New York Yankees have been no stranger to star power over the years. But the addition of Juan Soto to their roster has injected a fresh wave of excitement and anticipation among fans. Soto has wasted no time in making his mark both on and off the field. Moreover, one of the key figures he’s been drawn to is none other than the team’s own superstar, Aaron Judge. The two superstars of the game met up for the first time in Tampa and exchanged a warm hug. The duo’s pictures together in the Yankee gear have already got the fans gushing. Meanwhile, the generational star recently revealed his first impression of meeting the big guy in person.

Juan Soto said he was blown away to see Aaron Judge’s larger-than-life personality. He expected him to be a good and warm human being. But Soto certainly didn’t expect Judge to be this good of a human. “Everything, his vibe, everything is good,” said Soto. The slugger added how the captain always thinks positively and pushes the guys to win as much as he can. Additionally, Soto has also been struck by Judge’s humility and team-first mentality. Despite his superstar status and global recognition, Judge remains humble and focused on the collective success of the team. That makes him one of the most respected athletes in the Yankee clubhouse. And that is exactly the kind of leader Yanks want for its franchise. Overall, as Soto settles into his new role with the Bombers, he looks to Aaron Judge not just as a teammate but as a mentor and a friend.

After Juan Soto‘s heartening words of appreciation, Aaron Judge returned the favor by endorsing the generational talent. In an exclusive chat with media after the spring game vs Tigers, Judge said that he is looking forward to making Soto’s first year in the Bronx a memorable one. “He’s a New York Yankee,” quipped Judge.

Aaron Judge further added that if Juan Soto does his thing the way he does with the bat, it takes the Yankees a step closer to the World Series championship. That is a massive compliment coming in from the Yankees captain. He surely trusts his side’s odds of winning a World Series title this year with the addition of superstar Juan Soto.
