How Anthony Davis Got Severely Injured Last Night Against Nuggets? Will He Be Out For Weeks?

The Los Angeles Lakers\’ troubles do not seem to end. After the horrendous start to the season, the team made a comeback in LeBron James\’ absence. The main reason behind the Lakers\’ success has been Anthony Davis\’ stellar performance. The Brow has been consistently dominating games for the Lakers. However, unfortunately, in last night\’s game against the Denver Nuggets, Davis endured a foot injury that forced him out of the game. Meanwhile, Lakers fans are worried about what\’s the update on Davis\’ injury.

Anthony Davis Gets Injured!

In a game against the Denver Nuggets, Anthony Davis recently suffered a foot injury and was replaced. The team quickly confirmed the decision to keep him for the remainder of the game. He was hurt when Davis beat Nikola Jokic on the post to score in the opening frame. After completing a reverse layup, Davis returned to the court with a limp. Davis continued to shuffle and was obviously affected by the soreness, even though he played until halftime. Consequently, following the halftime break, he didn\’t leave the locker room.

Davis finished the game with 10 points before leaving the court, although he was scoreless in the second quarter during his eight minutes of action. The injury raises additional questions about the star big man for the Lakers, whose health has a history of being precarious. Even though Davis has been dealing with lower back discomfort for a few weeks, he is still averaging 28.8 points and 12.4 rebounds per game this season.

The Laker Nation has reason to believe that the purple and gold can potentially make a serious run in the playoffs because of Davis\’ performance since last month. He has been performing so brilliantly lately that the MVP discussion has recently brought up his name. The Lakers have naturally let LeBron James serve as AD\’s backup due to the 2020 NBA champion\’s excellent level of play. If they had stuck to their plan, they would have had success this season.

However, with Anthony Davis currently out, the LA Lakers will be urgently searching for ways to contend. They have never come close to becoming a playoff-worthy club when AD is injured or when he is not engaged. The medical staff of the LA Lakers is now assessing Anthony Davis. And he will go though tests once again tomorrow, according to head coach Darwin Ham. 

Given Anthony Davis\’ most recent injury, LA Lakers supporters must be restrained from acting out in a wild way. The good news for Laker supporters is that it\’s possible they\’re just being extremely cautious around the eight-time All-Star. However, if the situation worsens, then it appears to Darvin Ham will have to revert to his failed earlier tactic. He may need to rework a strategy that utterly failed during Frank Vogel\’s administration the previous season.
