Fernando Alonso Slams Lewis Hamilton!

During the Austin, Texas, practice for the United States Grand Prix, Fernando Alonso smacked Lewis Hamilton. Pirelli tested its tires on the COTA course for 2023 while drivers participated in an extended practice session on Friday last week. During that moment, when the Alpine driver tried to profit from a quick lap, he was left miffed with Lewis Hamilton. The seven-time world champion ordered the Spaniard to slow down after he had raced around the Texan circuit at breakneck speed. Alonso lost momentum because it appeared that he could not overtake Hamilton, who did not give the 40-year-old enough room to take the lead.

The first season of his Formula One career without a victory draws near. And Hamilton returns to Austin, still searching for his first triumph of 2022. Meanwhile, recently, Alonso has also said in the conversation that he respects Lewis Hamilton a lot. But he believes Max Verstappen is ahead of the Briton at this point. Verstappen won the world championship earlier this year at the Japan Grand Prix, but last year was different. Throughout the competitive racing year, the Dutch driver engaged in a tight competition with Hamilton for the world championship.

And that is something it differentiates the Red Bull driver from the Mercedes hero. According to Alonso, Verstappen fought for his place against all the drivers and won consecutive titles. On the other hand, Lewis Hamilton, in his time, just had to beat his then-team-mate, Valtteri Bottas, to secure the Grand Prix wins.

It\’s no secret that the seven-time world champion has had a difficult time adjusting to his Mercedes for 2022. The Englishman, however, is considerably more upbeat going into this weekend\’s race following a solid FP1 showing and an upgrade. He expressed his gratitude to everyone who had worked so hard at the plant to get the upgrade to us in time for this weekend.
