After five straight losses in a row, the Los Angeles Lakers enjoyed a brief period of success in games against the Denver Nuggets and Timberwolves. However, in Friday night\’s game against Utah Jazz, they were handed their sixth defeat of the season. After the defeat, questions about the team\’s underperforming offense are again raised. Meanwhile, head coach Darvin Ham has defended the Lakers\’ attack saying that they have 60,000 points in the Locker room.

Darvin Ham Has Trust In The Lakers\’ Offense!

The Lakers had a terrible start to the season due to their issues with three-point shooting and defense. But they appeared to strike a solid balance in their two victories. It also helped that Russell Westbrook sat on the bench. However, despite his brief comeback, they failed to win three straight games on Friday night. The Utah Jazz, who have successfully startled the NBA world to begin the season, defeated the Lakers. Up until the fourth quarter, the team stayed around for the Jazz. However, the Lakers were unable to handle the opposition\’s blazing three-point shooting.

Even though the Lakers\’ Russell Westbrook scored a game-high 26 points and received MVP shouts, LeBron James and Anthony Davis\’ underwhelming performances didn\’t help the situation. However, according to Darvin Ham, scoring goals is not the issue. Ham is adamant that it is neither a problem nor a concern, despite the fact that many have doubted if the Lakers have the talent to play winning basketball.

Coach Darvin Ham claimed that the Lakers\’ offense is not a concern for him because the club has 60,000 points in their locker room. LeBron James is mostly responsible for the 60,000 points Ham refers to. He seemed to be slowing down a bit. Although Anthony Davis battles with injuries and Russell Westbrook has been deteriorating for some time, both players have outstanding stat lines. Therefore, it is challenging to understand how that statement benefits the Lakers in the manner that Ham appears to be implying.

Putting pressure on the rim is one of a contemporary offense\’s key characteristics. And the Lakers have never had difficulty doing so with Anthony Davis and LeBron James. That will continue this season as well. The quantity they\’re getting to the rim, though, is what differs. When it comes to shooting profiles, the Lakers have suffered in the mid-range, which is another result of having LeBron and AD on the team. Meanwhile, another area of concern for the team is that they conceded 130 points to Utah Jazz. It is not a great sign for a team that relies heavily on its defense.
