Aaron Judge Crowned Player Of The Year Ahead Of Shohei Ohtani!

2022 is the season of Aaron Judge in Major League Basketball. Even though his team, the New York Yankees, seemed off-color in the middle of the season, he carried them to the ALCS on his shoulders. Aaron Judge made history this season by breaking several records as he struck 62 home runs in a single season. Therefore, not many people doubted that he would be Player of the year this season. Now, it has come true. Judge is crowned the Player of The Year, defeating Shohei Ohtani by two votes.

Judge, of course, had a 2022 season deserving of every single prize. He slugged 62 home runs and contributed 131 RBI. The Yankee had a slash line of .311/.425/.686 to set a Yankees and American League record. Judge, a four-time All-Star, assisted the Yankees in advancing again to the postseason. Meanwhile, the National League\’s best Player was selected as Paul Goldschmidt of St. Louis, the union said on Friday.

Former pitcher Steve Rogers, a longtime special assistant on the union\’s staff, received the Curt Flood Award for his commitment to the union and the advancement of players\’ rights. Justin Verlander of Houston has been chosen as the American League\’s best pitcher and comeback player. Furthermore, Atlanta outfielder Ronald Acua Jr. won the NL comeback player award. And Miami pitcher Sandy Alcantara achieved the best pitcher award in the National League.

Now, it remains to see who will win the AL MVP Award. Shohei Ohtani, a standout for the Angels, is reportedly not as popular as he is. Seemingly, the two-way sensation for the Angels was a nominee for the American League Outstanding Player and Players\’ Choice MLB Player of the Year awards. But MLB players chose Judge in both cases.

Last year, Ohtani also earned the American League MVP title in addition to both of those honors. The Baseball Writers\’ Association of America makes the decision for the POTY award. And looks like Ohtani and Judge are this year\’s front-runners for the MVP award. On Monday, the names of the top three finishers will come out. Nov. 17 will see the announcement of the winner.
