Not only that, but the manager also revealed how Dominguez spent most of the off-season in Tampa under the supervision of the franchise’s conditioning team. However, as far as the return timeline is concerned, Boone isn’t sure about an exact date. Apparently, the prospect’s growth will be assessed in the summer. And a final consensus will be taken accordingly. But overall, Boone expects Jasson Dominguez to return sometime this year. “We are going to make sure he’s fully back. And ready to play full-time,” added Boone.
Aaron Boone Updates On Jose Trevino’s Rehab
Besides Jasson Dominguez, the New York Yankees are also monitoring catcher Jose Trevino‘s rehab process. Trevino endured a wrist injury last season, which worsened over time. Ultimately, the medical team called for immediate surgery. And subsequently, Trevino was shut down for the entire season.
Regardless, the catcher is doing fine this off-season and is gearing up for a splash comeback. Aaron Boone recently revealed that Jose Trevino has been hitting off live velocity for over a month now. He added how the catcher remains in a good spot. And is ready to resume on-field activities. Jose is expected to be the Yankees’ lead catcher alongside prospect Austin Wells for the upcoming season.
