Can Aaron Judge Bag $400 Million Deal? Expected Contract For Yankees\’ Slugger!

The year 2022 of Major League Basketball will be remembered as the season of Aaron Judge. The New York Yankees slugger has been on an unstoppable streak of hitting Home Runs and making records. However, as much as the Yankees love Aaron Judge, they are forced to face the fact that this year is the last of Aaron\’s current contract with the Yankees. As Judge is set to head on his way to be a free agent, how much money is he eyeing?

Aaron Judge Expected Contract!

There is no doubt about the fact the New York Yankees are more than keen to keep Aaron Judge with them for the next few years. The team previously offered Judge a hefty contract of around $235 million. However, the player decided not to take it as he was willing to bet on himself. It was before Aaron struck record-breaking 62 Home Runs. But since Aaron is now the hottest property in the entire MLB, experts have little doubt that he will be eyeing anything less than a $300 million contract.

Sources claim that Judge sought a raise in the spring to match Mike Trout\’s yearly contract of $36 million. According to the early indications, the Yankees may now agree to his first request and might even raise it somewhat. Some people think he may even threaten Mike Trout\’s historical $360 million overall contract, but if he does, it might have to come from somewhere else. It is almost certain that Aaron Judge is looking on the upper side of the 300 million. However, the question is, can he bag a deal of 400 million? Some believe yes, and some believe no. But only time will tell.

Since being chosen by New York in the 2013 draft, Aaron Judge has spent his whole career with them. In 2017, after spending his first full season in the major leagues, he received the AL Rookie of the Year Award after hitting 52 home runs. The Yankees will probably need to step up if they want to outspend those bid-spending competitors and others. Apparently, Judge has placed himself in a position for a monster contract.

Where Can Judge Go, If Not The Yankees?

The biggest risk to Aaron Judge is from the San Francisco Giants. California-native, Judge has been a fan of the club since he was a little child. Because of their recent disappointing season, the Giants can afford Judge\’s skills. They have experience competing for the NL West.

When asked who he thought was the true home run king, Judge named Barry Bonds, a player he saw growing up by the Bay. It is nearly too good. But Judge has made the appropriate statements about going back to the Yankees. It is entirely up to Cashman and the Steinbrenners to provide him the compensation he deserves.
