Brandon Nimmo Is In The Yankees Scheme Of Things, Another Backup Plan In Motion?

New York Yankees have been a team on a roll during the offseason. The team has been keenly pursuing the players they have an eye on, even though Aaron Judge remains their top priority. Brandon Nimmo is a name that has been associated with Judge several times as the team\’s contingency plan if they can\’t get Judge. However, several reports suggest that the Yankees might have more interest in Nimmo than just a backup.

The Yankees Have An Eye On Brandon Nimmo!

Brandon Nimmo is anticipated to meet with the Yankees in San Diego. Though it could increase their budget, they could conceivably sign both Judge and Nimmo if they are looking for two outfielders. There is no indication of a diabolical collaboration between the teams since the Mets have expressed interest in Jameson Taillon. The Mets are not counting on Judge to help the Yankees. However, it\’s assumed that this is because if they cover all of their pitching gaps, their spending will already be the most in MLB.

Those that are unable to sign the 2022 American League MVP will focus their attention on outfielder Brandon Nimmo of the New York Mets. The 29-year-old established new highs for his career in 2022 with 30 doubles and 64 RBI. And he is rumored to be chasing a nine-figure deal. According to rumors, several clubs are interested in signing Brandon Nimmo, including the Mets, Rays, and Blue Jays.

There are reports that Brandon Nimmo is to meet with the Yankees in San Diego. Therefore, it implies that they could sign both Judge and Nimmo, but doing so could increase their budget. As the Yankees haven\’t signed Judge yet, he is reportedly planning to attend the winter meetings. This is fueling unfounded speculations of an impending trade for him and Nimmo, who, along with Harrison Bader, would form the strongest defensive outfield in the MLB.

The Yankees have also discussed the Japanese superstar Masataka Yoshida and Andrew Benintendi. Yoshida just submitted an application to be posted by the Orix Buffaloes. And he is currently waiting for a response. Even though as many as 11 clubs are in touch with the three four-star shortstops, many people feel the Cubs have a decent chance of signing one of them.

According to earlier reports, Nimmo is meeting with teams in person. And a number of teams have said they would move their centerfielder to the corner to make room for Nimmo. The Mets, Yankees, Colorado Rockies, and Blue Jays are among the clubs on Martino\’s list of interested parties.
