Amid all the transfer discussions, former Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal announced his retirement from professional football. The Spanish footballer played with the north London club from 2013 to 2019. The 36-year-old took to Instagram to share a video about his long journey into the world of football. Nacho wrote that he had played football for 36 years along with 16 years as a professional. He had never imagined the way he squeezed his body and pushed it to the limits.

   

However, his knee sent him a loud and clear message that it was time to stop. The Spaniard insisted that he did not feel frustrated, listened to the call, and thanked his knee for the adventurous journey. Monreal felt one stage was over while another awaited him ahead. Moreover, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claimed that the Gunners\’ major priority was still the outgoings during the summer transfer window. Romando revealed that Runarsson had been signed on loan to Alanyaspor after Torreira and Pablo Mari. In addition, Hector Bellerin is working on contract termination and returning to Spain soon. However, Romano insisted that Edu and Mikel Arteta were still exploring options for another Arsenal signing. However, their potential targets are always under the radar.
