Anthony Davis Just 25 Points Away From Making History! Still Lakers’ Frustrated With His Tantrums

Anthony Davis, the superstar forward for the Lakers, is on the verge of moving ahead a step further in the leading point scorer list.

AD, who is currently in his 11th season in the league, has been one of the most dominant players in the NBA since he was drafted by the New Orleans Pelicans in 2012. He established himself as one of the league’s best young talents, earning 8 NBA All-Stars and winning his first championship title with his current team, the Lakers, in 2020.

This season, the star forward dealt with injuries. He had to sit out for five weeks after suffering a stress foot fracture. Davis’ absence hurt the team as they lagged in defense and blocking. However, AD returned after the break and instantly triggered a wave of change. The team was back to winning ways as Davis led the way alongside LeBron James. Now, the forward is all set to add another feature to his cap.

Lakers star forward Anthony Davis is having a terrific run this season. Till now, as of this writing, he is averaging 26 points, 12.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2 blocks per game. Further, AD is the second-highest leading scorer for the Lakers this season after LeBron James. The injury hampered his game for a while as he looked rusty post-return. However, the forward has regained complete form and intends to make a final playoff push for the Lakers.

Meanwhile, Anthony Davis is all set to add another feather to his personal accomplishments hat. As per the latest stats, David needs 25 points to move up a spot on the leading point scorer list. As of now, he is in 141st place with 15,300 total points. With 25 additional points, AD can get past Sam Perkins and move up to the 140th spot. AD is young and has a long way to go. He’s just in the 11th season of his career and can play for 6-7 years and even beyond if healthy. Hence, the forward has the potential to add more than 15,000 points with his current form in consideration.

As per the latest inside rumors, the Lakers and LeBron James are unhappy with Anthony Davis’ tantrums. Davis’ body language over the last few matches has been a little off, wherein the forward seems least interested. This body language comes at a time when the team’s veteran star, LeBron James, is gearing up to make a final playoff push. Hence, rumors have it that James and the Lakers want AD to move out if he is not serious about winning.

LeBron James on Sunday reignited reunion rumors with Kyrie Irving after giving him preference during the All-Star game. Hence, NBA analyst Chris Broussard believes that James is sending a message to Davis that if AD does not wish to contribute to the team anymore, he must make space for Kyrie Irving and move to Dallas Mavericks. Well, these are just mere conjectures that neither of the involved parties has addressed. However, the AD’s future with the Lakers is uncertain as of now.
