“Aaron Judge & Giancarlo Stanton Can Together Club 100 Home Runs,” Claims Yankees Coach

New York Yankees coach Dillon Lawson has recently made a bold prediction about the team’s power-hitting duo of Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton.

Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton are two of the most feared power hitters in the MLB today. Judge, a towering 6-foot-7 outfielder, burst onto the scene in 2017 with a rookie season that included 52 home runs and a rookie of the year award. Furthermore, the newly minted captain of the New York Yankees is coming off a record-breaking 62-home run season which rewarded him with his maiden AL-MVP award.

On the other hand, Giancarlo Stanton is a former National League MVP who the Yankees acquired in a blockbuster trade with the Miami Marlins prior to the 2018 season. He clearly struggled with injuries and inconsistency in his first two seasons in the Bronx. However, the outfielder bounced back in a big way in 2020, hitting .250 with 4 home runs and 11 RBIs in just 23 games. With this new season, can the duo recreate an unforgettable season?

Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton are well known for their powerful hitting abilities. Both have surpassed the magical figure of 50 home runs in a single season sometime in their careers. Furthermore, With the dynamic individuals now clubbed together, how much big of an impact can they leave on the Yankees’ success this 2023 MLB season? Well, New York Yankees hitting coach Dillon Lawson has an opinion, a rather bold one to share.

The coach, who is closely assisting Judge and Stanton on the field, ranked the hitting duo highly. He claimed that if both Judge and Stanton can stay healthy for the whole season, a combined 100 home runs from their bats cannot be ruled out. Further, Lawson claimed that Giancarlo has a little bit more bat speed than Judge. Of course, hitting 50 home runs in a single season is no easy feat, and doing it twice in a row for Aaron is even tougher. But if anyone can do it, it’s Judge and Stanton. They both have the raw power and discipline to put up big numbers when they’re in a hot form. The key, of course, will be staying healthy.

Furthermore, he stressed the importance of having the support of a powerful hitter like Aaron Judge.
