Yankees Aaron Judge

Aaron Judge has been magnificent for the New York Yankees since his MLB debut in 2016. He has been in excellent form this season, hitting .307/.381/.664 in 36 games with fourteen home runs and 30 RBI. However, unfortunately, the Yankees might lose the star right fielder during his self-imposed Opening Day trade deadline. The Bombers tried to lock in Judge in a long-term deal before the start of the 2022 season. 

The Yankees general manager offered a seven-year, $ 213.5 million extension to the $17 million from arbitration. Thus, the franchise was willing to offer Judge a $230 million deal to continue playing for The Yankees. However, reports suggest that Judge was looking for a $36 million per year deal. So, he did not agree to the terms. And now, he will become a free agent after the season.

Therefore, Judge has emerged as the league\’s best hitter during this season with an impressive record. If he continues the season as he started, Judge could succeed in increasing his value much more. Among all the trade rumors, one team that might be interested in acquiring Aaron Judge is the San Francisco Giants.

Can The Yankees Make Judge Stay With A More Lucrative Deal?

As per reports, the National League West team San Francisco Giants, would be interested in getting Aaron Judge on their team. The Yankees\’ right fielder was a big San Francisco fan when he was growing up. Moreover, Judge has denied a massive deal from the Yankees. Hence, the Giants will have to offer the 30-year-old a megadeal if they have to land him on their team.

However, the Yankees might still have an opportunity of keeping Aaron Judge.
