Lewis Hamilton remains the most fashionable driver of Formula One

Even if Lewis Hamilton is losing every race since 2022, even if he does not appear on the front foot most of the time on the track, he gains the most attention among all the 20 drivers. He is Lewis Hamilton, the most fashionable driver of Formula One, and he never appears at the paddock without turning heads with his outstanding outfit. But is this all a trick? To gain ATTENTION? Now that Hamilton is unable to win races and is disappointing his fans with his track performances, is he trying to impress them through his clothing? Well, Ralf Schumacher thinks so.

Michael Schumacher’s brother recently accused the seven-time world champion of seeking fashion’s help in order to hide his lackluster performances. How can a driver with 103 Grand Prix wins breathe without attention? According to Ralf Schumacher, in the era of no wins and no attention, the Mercedes driver is hiding behind fashion to sustain his celebrity life. In a recent publication of Sky Sports Germany, Ralf explained how difficult it must be for Hamilton to survive in this challenging time. As a result of the backfoot appearance, the Briton must be “extremely seething,” Ralf said.

Schumacher further quoted that “Lewis Hamilton is not used to NOT winning.” This means he is used to the cameras, lights, people, love, and attention. And now that he doesn’t get them with the cars like W14 that the Mercedes team is providing lately, he wants attention. How is he doing gaining it? “Look at his outfits,” Ralf said.

Not only the former German driver commented on the dressing style of Lewis Hamilton, but he also pointed out faults in his performance which led him to become the second driver of Mercedes day by day. Last year was the maiden year of George Russell in Mercedes and almost the tenth year for Hamilton. But who got the lead in the driver’s standings? The newcomer. Russell surpassed the seven-time world champion by 32 points. However, this year Hamilton is ahead of his teammate by 16 points currently. He has secured a podium in the Australian Grand Prix, while Russell lost it to Fernando Alonso. But in the Miami Grand Prix, once again, Lewis was hit by luck, finishing on P13, the worst qualifying result ever.

Nevertheless, Miami remained a good weekend for the British drivers. Hamilton enjoyed the journey from P13 to P6. And Russell also secured good points, finishing fourth. But, Ralf Schumacher believes that ending races behind his teammate George Russell must be “the maximum penalty for Lewis Hamilton.” One may say a sense of jealousy and chances of internal disputes occurs in this situation. But looking at the way Hamilton handled the Miami race, it does not seem like he envied his teammate. During one of the race incidents, when Russell went behind Hamilton by 1.1 seconds, he let him go. Hamilton raced being a good teammate; maybe that’s why he was happy after the Miami Grand Prix.
