Draymond Green is one of the biggest fans of LeBron James in the NBA Universe. Their chemistry has just gotten better over the years. Green plays for the Golden State Warriors alongside Stephen Curry, the arch-rival of LeBron James. Curry and James have got great respect for each other. But they have a long history of the rivalry back on the court.

In current times, the Warriors have often been compared to the Bulls of the 90s. With Steph Curry as their star, the team has genuinely achieved great heights in the last decade. The Golden State franchise is the defending champion in the current season. But it was LeBron James, with three different teams, who was able to challenge the supremacy of the Warriors time and again.

With the Golden State, Steph Curry has won an equal number of championships as James have. That’s the reason why fans believe being part of the Warriors, it is weird to be a fan of James. But Draymond Green does not think so. In his podcast, The Draymond Green Show, Green suggests, “Curry knows how much I respect him. And my support of James won’t change the dynamic between Curry and me.” Green says that people should get their mentality right.

According to Green, “They think it is disrespectful to Curry, but actually, it is not.” He feels that he will always have a cordial relationship with both of them despite my admiration for James. Draymond Green also suggested that LeBron James is better than Michael Jordan. In the never-ending debate of who’s the GOAT, Green chose LeBron James. That’s how much the Warriors’ star respects his rival teammate.

James And Warriors’ Long-Running Rivalry

LeBron James won back-to-back championships from 2011 to 2013 with the Miami Heat. Later, in 2016 King James led his hometown franchise Cleveland Cavaliers ending their championship drought in 52 years of their sports history. The Cavaliers, with James, defeated the Warriors in the final. It was an epic final as Curry’s team reached the finals with 73 record-setting wins in that season. Plus, in the final, they went ahead with a 3-1 lead. Before that final, no team had ever come back to win the final after falling 1-3. It was a big loss to the Warriors but an epic win for the Cavaliers.

Later with the current team of LeBron James, the Lakers, he won another championship in 2020. But Steph Curry stayed with the Warriors and became a legend of the franchise. Draymond Green also recently spoke about how ridiculous are some of the new NBA rules. Like if somebody who has not played a minimum of 65 games in the season won’t be eligible for the All-NBA team. If the rule were introduced this year, then the All-NBA team won’t have Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and so on. The team would be starless, and that’s precisely why Draymond Green does not like the new rule.
