The Los Angeles Lakers played against the Dallas Mavericks, led by Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, last night. It was a clash between the two teams who are desperately trying to get into the top 10 of the Western Conference. But the Lakers won it in a historic fashion making a record for becoming the first team to win after a 27-point deficit. And it had the contribution of the two prominent Lakers stars and the new arrivals in the team.
The Lakers could have been back to see good days again, but some problems still keep popping up. Injuries are a never-ending relationship that the Lakers have in their time of need. The new point guard D’Angelo Russell got injured in the last game so did LeBron yesterday. The 38-year-old made a hard fall last night, saying he popped his knee. And he even got trolled by a Maverick fan in the arena with a meme poster in his hand.
A Young Boy Mocks The Lakers Superstar With His Poster
The Lakers consist of one of the greatest basketball players with one of the biggest fan bases in the world. And with such popularity comes different opinions of people, hate, and trolling on the internet and in arenas. And the fans who support the team other than LA hate harder than anyone on LeBron James. However, this time it was just a kid with a funny template about how Kyrie Irving came to Dallas to team with Luka Doncic rather than LeBron. Although it was a good way to troll from the young Maverick fan, LeBron had the last laugh winning the game.
Dallas Mavericks and the Lakers are the two teams in the Western Conference who will fight for the playoff spot. And the addition of Kyrie to the Lakers would have given them a much-needed boost, but they are just fine without him. Rob Pelinka’s last-minute masterful stroke before the trade deadline has fixed the Lakers with an excellent team. And it could also turn out that LeBron James and LA could have had the last laugh in qualifying for the playoffs eventually. Even Kyrie could end up on the beaches of LA in the summer when his contracts expire.
There is no doubt that the team has a different outlook, with D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, and Jarred Vanderbilt. But the team still struggles with long-range shooting, which has remained the problem since the season began. But having the acquisition around LeBron James and Anthony Davis gives them extraordinary stability on the court. And the two superstars were always thought to be the team’s foundation. Now they are surrounded by a decent supporting cast which would help them express themselves better. Otherwise, earlier, there were a lot of mishaps in the locker room because of different positional play.
