Carlos Rodon made his much-anticipated spring training debut for the New York Yankees and had a tough outing. However, a few days later, the pitcher strained his left forearm and has been put on an injury list till further notice. This means that he will miss the 2023 MLB season opening day. While the Yanks’ front office has ruled out any major damage, these podcasters believe otherwise.

A couple of podcasters on the Talkin Yanks page stated that for Carlos Rodon, it’s either a comeback in April or a Tommy John surgery and nothing in between. They believe that forearm injuries are scary for pitchers and can also be very tricky. On top of that, having dealt with surgery beforehand, Rodon is highly prone to injury. A Tommy John surgery is something Rodon needs to avoid at any cost, as it will put an end to his first season with the Yankees.
