Yankees Offseason Signings Not Over Yet, Not Until They Get Bryan Reynolds’ Trade Done.

The New York Baseball team did everything they had in hand in order to organize the best rotation for the 2023 World series. Currently, according to the actions of the Yankees, it looks like they will have an upgrade in the left field as they still have a month left before the drop deadline of the spring training arrives. And most probably, until the opening day comes, the Yankees will keep trying on Bryan Reynolds to trade with the Pirates.

The Yankees have quite a history with their insane hiring moves. One can remember what they did in 2022. Before the season’s spring training began, they had Miguel Castro from the Mets through trading and also the catcher from the Rangers, Jode Trevin, who turned into an All-star later. So why can’t they do the same thing this year too, when they can see the complete need for Reynolds this time?

Yankees manager Aaron Boone recently said, “This time, Yankees has the best rotations that I have ever seen in the career.” So in order to make the statement practical, they really need to look at all the possible trades still left in their hand. Therefore, a major change can again come and go between today till the very opening day of the season. Most likely, Bryan Cashman will go on to the Pirates to demand Reynolds.

What Will Yankees Do To Make The Best Rotation?

There are several possibilities and options that the Yankees might choose to practice before the training begins. Maybe they will go to the Pirates with their two best prospects to address the weakest link to the lineup. Or will they give up trying anymore? Or they will offer Aaron Hocks, Oswaldo Cabrera, or any other from the team’s left-field contenders. Probably Yankees did a little in realizing that they were losing the very best left outfielder available in the market. Andrew Benintendi was a free agent. But, he was hired way back in mid-December by the Red Sox with a five-year $75 million deal. There was also Daulton Varsho, but the Diamondbacks took him.

Now, that nothing can be with them, the Yankees may do something with those available to them. Not only hiring but releasing is also an option available! Just to reshape the team’s rotation, the Yankees may pull off some of the major players, including Aaron Hiks, Donaldson, and Kiner Falefa. Apparently, there will be no problem in trading Kiner Falefa. He is already making only $6 million. However, he will be a good take if in case the rookie Oswald Peraza posts a dull spring test score.

On the other hand, the Yankees can go on to trade Donaldson. He is already 37 and had a bad enough season to make him parted, but he has a contract of $29 million. So NO! Just that Bryan Cashman is not yet satisfied with the team members. He is still looking for Reynolds and other great players in order to make the rotation, in fact, real this time. Let’s see what he tends to do before the spring practice begins.
