The team is looking to do all things necessary to build a squad that could live the 2023 world series. But in order to add a new player to the roaster, the Yankees will also have to let a few of their existing players go. Meanwhile, Aaron Hicks and Josh Donaldson are two players in with whom the team is looking to part ways. However, the problem is the Yankees are unable to find suitors for these two.

With the return of Aaron Judge, the New York Yankees achieved what was undoubtedly their primary objective for the summer. However, their trade negotiations for Josh Donaldson and Aaron Hicks appear to be failing. According to reports, the Yankees have not been able to find suitors for Aaron Hicks and Josh Donaldson. Donaldson excelled at third base, but there are still doubts about his renowned bat speed. Carlos Correa was unable to work for them in part because of Donaldson\’s presence and compensation.

His final season line was.222/.308/.374 with 15 home homers and 62 RBI. Donaldson, who is also 37, had a dismal playoff average for the Yankees last year, hitting just.172. No teams appear to be too interested in an older player who had a lackluster season in 2018. But he is expected to earn a staggering sum of money in 2023.

On the other hand, Hicks\’ deal is more reasonable, starting at $10.5 million in 2023 and dropping to $9.5 million over the next two years before a $12.5 million club option in 2026. But compared to the one to Donaldson, that would need a bigger investment. Additionally, no team that acquired him could boast to its supporters that at least one MVP was on his résumé.
