In Aaron Judge and Juan Soto, the New York Yankees arguably have the most powerful and feared hitting duos in MLB, batting back-to-back. The duo have gone bonkers on the plate, and both are in the midst of a career-best season. Needless to say, they feed off each other’s energy.

Having said that, apart of on-field partnership, Juan Soto and Aaron Judge also share a great camaraderie off the field. They have immense respect for each other, and the same respect and admiration was out on display on Tuesday following the New York Yankees’ 4-1 victory over the Chicago White Sox.

Tuesday night belonged to generational star Juan Soto as he registered his career first three-homer game against the White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field in Illinois. Soto went deep in the third, fifth and seventh innings to post 4 runs on board as the New York Yankees claimed a victory with a 4-1 finish line. Following the extraordinary night, Soto’s season home run tally soared to 33 long hits with a .302 batting average and a career-high 1.017 OPS. Needless to say, his Yankee teammates were thrilled to witness a historic night with captain Aaron Judge leading the praise by referred to Soto as the greatest hitter in MLB. “If you leave a pitch in the zone, he’ll do damage,” Judge said.

However, Juan Soto begged to differ on Aaron Judge’s opinion. Instead, he returned the compliment back to Aaron Judge by calling the Yankee captain the greatest hitter of the game. “I’d call him the greatest hitter in the world. I mean, look at his numbers. He’s just unbelievable,” Soto said. In a way, Soto is right, as Judge surely has the best season with MVP-caliber statistics. He is hitting .329 and an absurd OPS of 1.162 while leading the majors in home runs (42) and RBI (107) across 118 games played thus far. Regardless of the ‘greatest hitter’ title, Juan Soto and Aaron Judge’s combined firepower has been the biggest blessing for the New York Yankees this year. With the duo stacking up over 70+ home runs combined, the Yanks now hold the sole possession of the AL-East division’s first place, thus displacing the Orioles.

Meanwhile, Aaron Boone, the New York Yankees manager, is the happiest and luckiest man to have two of the best hitters in the league at his helm batting after each other. And he surely does not take this opportunity lightly. Boone revealed that he does not take things for granted and appreciates every moment when Aaron Judge and Juan Soto are batting together.

“I can’t imagine a tandem being more dominant than they’ve been all season long,” Aaron Boone said. That being said, Aaron Judge and Juan Soto are posed to script history by the end of the season and finish amongst the ranks of some of Yankees greatest duos. Hopefully, the duo’s firepower results in the much-awaited World Series victory.
