The New York Yankees are ready to take on every challenge with their 16th captain Aaron Judge in MLB. After completing their task to fill the gaps in the team, the Bombers look ready for the upcoming season. Along with many of their signing, retaining Judge and signing a strong pitcher Carlos Rodon remains the highlight of the offseason. Meanwhile, everything is heading as New York would like before the start of the regular season.
16th Captain Denies To Wear The Badge
To this date, becoming a captain of the most prestigious and one of the richest franchises is an honor. And Aaron Judge seems to be the perfect man to hold distinction and lead the team to the world series finals. It has already been a while since the Yankees had a deserving captain on the team. Derek Jeter was the last man to wrap the C patch around his arm for the Bronx Zoo. However, the legendary captain decided to retire from professional baseball in 2014. And since then franchise carried on without a captain to finally arm the band around the AL’s home run king.
Aaron has accepted to become the next captain, but he does not wear the C badge around his arm. Many fans first considered it disrespectful, although it is neither disrespectful nor an unaccepting gesture. Even the reporters were curious, and one of them even asked. Aaron Judge laughed and said, “No, we don’t do that here.” It looks like the new captain is here to follow in the footsteps of the ex-captain. Even the Hall of Famer Derek Jeter did not have any interest in flaunting his captaincy. His reason was simple and he believed that his position was no different than other players. However, this did not stop him from respecting other players who wanted to wear the C badge.
Aaron Judge Love Kids And Kids Love Aaron Judge
Apart from giving up the badge for good reasons, Aaron is also one of the most humble personalities in the game. And his personality is the reason for his massive following among the kids. Many children follow their athlete idol to one day become the superstar they idolize. Even Judge idolized famous superstar athletes like Derek Jeter, Michael Jordan, and LeBron James. The outfielder also loves spending his time with children. He is even seen playing with kids in between the intervals.

Judge also runs a charity called the Aaron Judge ALL RISE foundation which helps kids become better citizens for the country. And he is also seen giving great messages and motivating kids from to time. Recently YES Networks posted a video in which Judge inspires kids to become whatever they like.
