Aaron Judge, the New York Yankees showstopper, has been MIA since June 3. On that particular day, the reigning MVP crashed into the fence of the Dodgers stadium and injured his toe in the process. Initially being treated as a minor blow, the swelling around the hit area kept on increasing, which forced the team to shut down Judge’s baseball-related activities.

The reigning MVP landed on IL on June 8 with no set return timeline. The Yankees front office representative, Aaron Boone, claimed that the team is awaiting the swelling to reduce. He even received a couple of plasma shots to speed up the recovery process. Meanwhile, after weeks of radio silence, the Yankees manager has finally come up with a positive update that might bring a sigh of relief to the fans.

The New York Yankees are eagerly awaiting the return of its captain and offense’s anchor, Aaron Judge. The captain is wounded with no return timeline set in place. The swelling around the injured toe area has been keeping him from making any significant progress. Hence, the team decided to inject him with a plasma shot on June 4. However, as the swelling persisted, the Yankees injected Judge with another shot last Thursday. Days after the shot, the Yankees manager updated on the batter’s latest health status.

Skipper Aaron Boone confirmed that the latest shot has worked. Aaron Judge is responding well to the latest treatment and is able to balance out his stance without feeling any discomfort. This will eventually allow him to resume baseball-related activities in some time. Boone is confident that it’s the beginning of some fruitful progress. The Yankees’ offense has derailed since Judge left the lineup. The batting average has dropped to a record low. Not only that, the team lost four series back to back, including a humiliating loss against rivals Boston Red Sox. Hence, it’s crucial for Aaron Judge to come back as soon as possible to rescue the Bombers from the alarming slump.

No Return Timeline Yet For Yankees Captain

Aaron Boone’s latest comments on Aaron Judge’s injury have brought in a sigh of relief amongst the anxious Yankee fans. However, things are far from better at the moment. While the manager shared a much more positive update, he refused to put a timeline on Judge’s return. He said that the batter is yet to resume baseball-related activities. Hence, he can’t say anything concrete for now. This clearly indicated that Aaron Judge is unlikely to return before the All-Star break. Regardless, we have to wait for official confirmation.

On the other hand, the Yankees got a massive outfield boss as center fielder Harrison Bader returned from IL on Tuesday. He played against the Mariners and scored right away. He looked in good touch in the field as well. Also, starting pitcher Carlos Rodon commenced his much-anticipated rehab assignment with Double-A Somerset Patriots. In three pitched innings, he gave away one run while recording three strikeouts. Rodon will play a couple of more rehab games before eventually returning to the lineup.
