This offseason has been full of signings and trade rumors for the New York Yankees. Re-hiring Aaron Judge has been the team\’s main focus for several weeks now. However, even if they manage to get back Judge, they will need several other players to build a strong squad around him. Therefore, the team in Pinstripe Blues has their eyes on the outfielder Andrew Benintendi.

The Yankees Need To Prioritize Andrew Benintendi!

The Yankees will face tough competition in all areas of free agency, particularly for slugger Aaron Judge, who is now on vacation in the West. He will soon receive a hefty offer from the San Francisco Giants. The Yankees, though, are still optimistic that they can meet his demands and fulfill them going ahead. On the other hand, General manager Brian Cashman is concerned about more than just the starting right field position. In addition, he must cover the left field. Over the past few weeks, several reports have linked the Yankees with the outfielder Andrew Benintendi.

In the past, when the Yankees acquired Andrew Benintendi from the Royals, the dynamic of their starting lineup shifted. A high-contact left-handed bat, which the Bombers had been lacking for some time, was something fresh that the 27-year-old player offered. Benintendi had a.192/.302/.301 batting line in his first 22 games with the Yankees was a poor start. Although he flashed the leather in left and made plays with his legs on the base paths, he managed to record a slash line of.366/.386/.585 during his last 11 games.

Anthony Rizzo, a member of their own free agent class, was re-signed by the New York Yankees. But apart from that, they haven\’t done anything else. The top objective of the summer should be to re-sign Aaron Judge, the current American League MVP. Even with Judge\’s endorsement, more will be required to compete with the Astros and the other American League contenders.

It would be a relief and source of comfort to have Benintendi back in the lineup since you know what you can expect from him: good average, modest power, and excellent defense. The decision to start him at the top of the lineup would probably not be difficult.

The left fielder\’s last few months with the Yankees and the obvious void he left after suffering a hamate injury that rendered him ineligible for the rest of the campaign demonstrate why he needs to be given priority. With a guy like him in their starting lineup, Benintendi demonstrated how different the Yankees are. The left fielder has to remain at the top of GM Brian Cashman

and Hal Steinbrenner\’s wish list.
