LeBron James will be 39 next year. He was already speculating about retirement after the Los Angeles Lakers lost in the Western Conference Finals last season. Moreover, James has not been able to play without injuries over the previous three seasons. However, LeBron James is training at present to get ready for the next NBA season.

It will be his 21st NBA season. Moreover, at 39, how much he can contribute to the team is still questionable. Many experts believe the Lakers will depend on Anthony Davis more than they depend on King James. However, there is a new rumor that suggests the possibility of LeBron James participating in the next Olympics in 2024.

LeBron James has been pretty successful with Team USA at the Olympics. He won a bronze medal in 2004. But with Kobe Bryant and the Redeem team, LeBron James won his first Olympic gold in 2008. Later, King James won another gold with Team USA at the 2012 Olympics. But since then, LeBron James has said “No” to back-to-back Olympic teams in 2016 and 2020. However, is there a chance that he can play again for Team USA in the Olympics? Recently, Sports Center via The Dunk Central posted a graphic. It shows the potential team for the US in the next Olympics.

As per the graphic, the team will have LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Jimmy Butler, and so on. In a reply to that post, King James posted this emoji, 👀. Perhaps it means LeBron James can at least consider the possibility of joining Team USA in the next Olympics. Moreover, the fans want a different team for the Olympics after the current failure of the US team in the FIBA World Cup. The team lost to Germany 111-113. It was a close game, but the US team will have to play the next Bronze medal game. However, this failure means that Team USA won’t win the World Cup for the second time in a row.

The American side had a worst time in the 2019 FIBA World Cup, finishing seventh. Later, in the 2020 Olympics, they came back strong, winning Gold. Moreover, the 2020 American Olympic side had Jayson Tatu, Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, and Kevin Booker. Hence, the fans must be hoping some similar improvement in the Olympics like that. It would be fantastic if King James can join the roster. However, the All-time leading scorer has not been able to play more than 60 games in the last few seasons.

On top of that, late last February, LeBron James suffered a severe tendon injury on his right foot. Later, he could not play for almost a month for the Lakers. According to reports, King James needed to undergo surgery to recover from that injury. But if he gets a surgery, then he won’t be able to play for a month or so. It will take him time to get match-ready after such a surgery. Hence, people are waiting to see when he finally hangs his boots.
