James was out for a long time due to a tendon injury on his right foot. Therefore, it was necessary for Anthony Davis to lead the team in the absence of James. Although AD did a great job while leading the squad. And after a month out of the lineup, LeBron finally returned to the court against the Bulls.
Apparently, it was not a happy comeback, as the Lakers lost at home. However, they had to meet the Bulls again in the next game at the United Center. It was time to get things even between the two sides. And the Lakers did what was expected from them. They beat the Bulls in their home court, Chicago. During the post-match interview, it was evident that LeBron James was absolutely ecstatic with the away victory of the team. Indeed it is essential to winning games when the unit is on the road if they want to confirm their place in the postseason. But apparently, what James forgot or perhaps hardly cared about him giving the interview wearing a little towel. But that has got fans to express their views on social media. This interview has also raised questions about whether it is okay to ask the players for a quick Q&A round right after they take a shower. According to some fans, the media should give these players a break.

But LeBron James did not care about what he was wearing or not wearing, for that matter. The little towel interview turned out to be pretty hilarious. When he was asked about Austin Reaves returning the favor to Patrick Beverley, James replied, “AR always got my back.” James proceeded to say that even though Austin had been a fan of Kobe Bryant and not his, he can forgive Reaves for that. It was a joke, and he started laughing out loud. With this, it is evident that the team is in an excellent state of mind.
Lakers Look Pretty Strong As A Core Group
There is the camaraderie between the Lakers’ players, and they all are looking to achieve the same goal. After what happened last season, the fans would hope to see the Lakers make the playoffs or at least the play-in. LeBron James had mentioned before that not playing in the postseason two years in a row is not in his DNA.
The Lakers are currently the 9th seed of the Western Conference. They need to maintain a winning streak for the remaining six games to see themselves in the postseason. If the Lakers manage to hold on to a streak, then who knows the wish of LeBron James might come true. The Lakers might actually be in the playoffs this year.
